Coatimundi
Meet the Coatimundi's at Whitehouse Farm Centre, Paloma, Margarita, and Tequila. They are always up to something fun, whether climbing, sniffing out treats, or playing with each other. Perfect for families and animal love a visit to see these charming coatimundis offers a unique and entertaining experience full of surprises and smiles.
Their ankles are double jointed and extremely flexible. This enables them to descend trees head first.
Fun Fact!
The Coatimundi (Nasua nasua) is a relative of the Raccoon. They have long noises which they poke under rocks and into crevices, foraging for food. They also have long claws to dig holes and tear apart rotting logs in the search for food. They are very sociable and are often seen in large groups, called ‘bands’, of 15-20 individuals in the wild. Here at the farm we have three lovely ladies! They mate in treetops and also create nests in the branches, which he offspring stay in for 5-6 weeks. Coatis walk with their ringed tails held high. When climbing, their tail is used for balance.
While coatimundis are native to Central and South America, they’re not found naturally in the UK. However, if released into the wild here, their curious and adaptable nature could make them an invasive species, potentially upsetting local wildlife and habitats—so it’s best to enjoy them safely at places like Whitehouse Farm!

The hard work and money that has been put in is incredible. The toilet facilities are amazing. There was loads for them to do and we stayed for about 5 hours.
"The staff couldn’t have impressed us any better than they did!"
From entering we were greeted and seen to quickly, we went to the cafe for a quick bite to eat and the staff again friendly, attentive and couldn’t have done anymore to help!

Other farm parks should visit so they know what makes a good attraction. Brilliant place. Loads to do. Really nice staff. Happy animals. Bathrooms clean and well kept grounds.

By far the best hands-on farm visit in the UK! The farm wasn’t crowded, which made the visit even more enjoyable. There were plenty of activities for kids, including a fun tractor ride that they loved

We absolutely love Jake who spends his time walking round, he’s so friendly. You can tell the animals are happy and well cared for, the little goats were roaming and playing with each other.

We went both days this weekend because we had so much fun and my little one wanted to go back and so did we! The park near the car park is amazing.
