Snakes usually have only one lung, but the python has two.
Fun Facts!
The Burmese python (Python bivittatus) is one of the 6 largest snakes in the world and they are capable of reaching 23 feet or more in length. They can weigh up to 200 pounds! Pythons are constrictors, meaning that they kill by coiling their bodies around their prey and squeezing it until it suffocates. Stretchy ligaments in their jaws allow them to swallow animals up to 5 times as wide as their head. They are also excellent swimmers and can stay submerged for up to 30 minutes before surfacing for air.
